An amazing group of vendors came together for this styled shoot at the new beautiful wedding venue, The Farmhouse. The white on white barn style venue is a photographer’s dream. Shiplap walls adorn the inside of the venue so any color palette of wedding will go perfectly. This bold black table linens, with the rich colorful florals made a stunning impact in the room. A oversized scripted blackboard framed a small sitting area, and a vibrant red settee anchored the sweetheart table. Personal signage and beautiful lettering in every part of the room, made the space intimate. A black geode wedding cake with gold insets, and matching cupcakes coordinated the color scheme of the wedding. Guest would know the feel of the wedding to expect in the geometric bold stationery, that lent a hint to the bride’s geometric overlay sheath wedding gown. The groom wore a maroon jacket tuxedo, and the bridesmaid a black lace overlay gown. A little fun was had with 3 foot balloons for the bride and groom portraits, out by the lake and open fields.

Samantha and Robby said planned their wedding in the small window that Robby was to be on leave from the Army. Their Christmas winter themed wedding took place on December 23rd. The Farmhouse was the perfect backdrop for the couple’s chosen wedding colors of deep reds, greens and silver. The white shiplap walls of this venue really made the decor from Love Birds Vintage Rental & Styling really stand out. The large room was separated into a ceremony space and reception space. Then the ceremony area was flipped into the dance floor after the nuptials. The wonderful vintage vignettes of the ceremony area with a faux fireplace with Christmas trees and ceremony foot washing area, was defined by the freestanding antique door entrance with a bible verse above. A separate defined reception space had it’s own arched entrance, sweetheart table and farmhouse tables mixed with round tables that made the area intimate for the meal.
Samantha’s bridesmaids wore lovely gray long dresses and the groomsmen had red/green matching bowties and suspenders. The stunning florals were done by HEB Blooms, North Woodlands Market location.
The wedding cookie cake was made to be a ‘naked cake’, and the bride and groom had a fun time trying to cut a piece out. Stylish display of the brunch was catered by A Taste Above Catering.
The bride wore a David’s Bridal gown, and her soon-to-be mother-in-law’s wedding shoes. They actually wear the same size! The bride also carried a silk handkerchief that was carried by four generations of women in her family. The guest underlined their favorite quote in the couple’s new bible. They departed to a snow confetti send off. Perfect winter wedding for the first wedding to be hosted a The Farmhouse.

Maegan was just stunning in her bridal portraits at Big Sky Barn in Montgomery, Texas. This venue with its unique landscape and architectural elements of rock and wood bridges, shiplap white wood walls, and grand vaulted ceiling with modern chandeliers, makes it a favorite place of mine to photograph weddings and portraits. Love Maegan’s floral crown, it was just the right size and went with the feel of the venue so well! Congrats to Maegan and James, they are now married!
Thinking about a maternity session, but not sure, because you just don’t feel glamorous somedays? Yes, all moms-to-be have been there! Jenny, being my hesitant sister, agreed to me photographing her, and she’s actually thrilled I did! I guided her in what maternity gown would look best in style and color. Putting great pieces together, made for a fun portrait session and I loved the final look. Plus, I’m super excited for my sister and her husband!
If any of my past clients are expecting, I’d love to photograph your maternity and baby photos too! I’ve had so many request, and I’d love to continue the relationships I’ve built with all my wedding clients, to photograph all of life’s milestones.
